Broken Mirror on the Pavement

Broken mirror scattered on dirty pavement
Pieces haphazardly lay separate but ordered in the place of the fall
Ordinary occurrence serves as pictorial impetus for thoughts on humanity

We lay in fragments in the dust
Still reflecting heavenly bodies for our pieces grasp at fractions of an image we can never full capture
A product of our splintered state and the finite boundaries that defined us in our wholeness
